GET CREATIVE USING SCREEN-BASED SIMULATION
Screen-based simulations allow students to apply what they’ve learned, promoting development of clinical judgment skills. When used appropriately, they can qualify for clinical hour replacement.
We’re working with programs just like yours to help them through this semester’s challenges — from lost clinical days to schools cancelling in-person classes and losing opportunities to practice in simulation labs. Let us help you get creative in offering students high-quality practice opportunities with ATI virtual-practice solutions.
Mapping ATI’s screen-based solutions
Get more from your ATI screen-based simulation solutions with ATI’s brand new Online Clinical Plans. These plans are designed to provide students with many hours of virtual clinical experience across 5 RN and 3 PN content areas. Each plan guides educators through a series of ATI modules and supplemental clinical judgment activities, including prebriefing and debriefing questions appropriate for three levels of student competence.
Make up lost clinical time with plans that total more than 200 RN and more than 110 PN hours of screen-based clinical learning and practice opportunities.
Easily align activities to your clinical course as each plan maps to common clinical competencies, outcomes, and objectives.
Appropriately challenge students at their knowledge and experience levels with plans designed specifically for three stages of student competence, including Novice, Advanced Beginner, and Competent.
Lead students with confidence knowing these plans have been thoroughly vetted, strategically designed, and follow simulation guidelines and competencies from INACSL, NCSBN, and QSEN.
Real Life Clinical Reasoning Scenarios
Developed by nurse educators, Real Life uses screen-based simulation to encourage critical thinking, clinical decision-making, and clinical judgment with deep engagement in realistic client scenarios. Students are challenged to make important healthcare decisions as they progress through each scenario, significantly impacting client outcomes.
All Real Life scenarios provide ready-made lesson plans for each module assisting in designing a quality 6-hour clinical replacement experience. Or explore (Brand New!) 15-hour clinical replacement lesson plans now available in the ATI Faculty Portal educator resources section.
HealthAssess prepares nursing students to perform health assessments and builds their clinical judgment skills in a virtual learning and practice experience on authentic virtual clients. Virtual Practices include four focused client assessments, and a Virtual Challenge includes one head-to-toe assessment.
Provides virtual practice conducting physical assessments of major body systems, documentation, and clinical reasoning.
Video Case Studies
Video Case Studies offers students exposure to clinical scenarios and practice in clinical judgment responding to prompts, watching expert responses, reflecting, and quizzing.
50 cases can be used independently or as a group. Prompts can be used as discussion questions, and student responses use clinical judgment skills.
Nurse’s Touch, The Communicator 2.0
The Communicator 2.0 guides students through therapeutic communication techniques, providing them with repeated opportunities to engage with virtual clients in key client conversations — including those with high-risk clients.
Students practice independently using therapeutic communication with high-risk clients. Easily follow up with group discussion.
ATI Skills Modules guides students step-by-step through essential nursing skills with media-rich tutorials, checklists, assessments with remediation, and more.
180+ essential nursing skills for learning, application activities, and easy class discussion using “what-if” scenarios for relevant skills.
Learning tutorials and simulated scenarios address the role of civility in nursing, as well as civility in the academic environment, clinical environment, and professional practice. Virtual Interactions include resolving conflict in peer-to-peer, student-to-preceptor, and other conversations.
